Adoption goes wrong when the difficult questions are skipped. We ask a few of them before a cat leaves our care so that the adopter and the cat both have a better chance of succeeding.
For this adoption round, we are accepting applications only from people who have personally cared for cats before. That does not make someone a perfect owner—but it means they have already lived through litter, feeding, behavior changes, veterinary decisions and the daily responsibility that photographs cannot show.
